We will have a panel of speakers talk about what restorative justice is and rights regarding restorative justice. We will have speakers to talk about their experiences of the restorative justice process. This will be followed by a Q&A and then informal interaction over refreshments.
This event will introduce you to restorative justice. In England and Wales, restorative justice processes bring those harmed by a crime, and those responsible for the harm, into communication, enabling everyone affected by a particular incident to play a part in repairing the harm and finding a positive way forward. The event will give you an opportunity to learn about how restorative justice is delivered in Nottingham/shire and has been experienced by those who have participated in restorative justice previously.
Real-life stories will be told at this event, and some attendees may find these accounts triggering. Trained staff from Victim CARE will be there, to offer support, should you need it.
