A two hour session in which you, the audience of budding songwriters, will create a song themed around this year's festival theme - your local area. The first session is aimed at children aged between 10-14 years. The second session is aimed and parents/carers and teachers who can support children in writing songs.
Please be aware that parents/carers will be asked to wait in the cafe or take a walk around the lake or surrounding area whilst their children enjoy the first session.
This is a spontaneous songwriting session led by Dr Liam Maloy, Senior Research Fellow at the School of Education, University of Nottingham. Liam is also the lead singer and songwriter for local family music band Johnny & the Raindrops. He is Johnny!
