Part of a series of five webinars on the Future of Work based on research from the Work, Employment and Organisation Research Group (WEORG) at Nottingham University Business School. The webinars will be 60-minutes long and will include a 30-minute talk and a 30-minute Q&A. The Webinars will be presented on MS Teams.
Globalisation and migration patterns are transforming the world of work. These forces are influencing who works, where and when, and how work is organised and managed. It is critical that efforts are taken to develop a better understanding of organising across borders and space. This webinar will focus specifically on knowledge sharing processes and expatriate management in the higher education field. Drawing on rich, in-depth qualitative research this webinar will outline the particular roles that language, hierarchy, politics, and social networks can play in the unique context of Chinese state universities.
