Nationality and Borders Act: implications for modern slavery support in Sussex

In front of a black background, a white clay figure in the shape of a person seemingly tries to run away. There is a string tied to their ankle.

What’s on offer?

In this 90-minute webinar, a panel of speakers from anti-modern slavery organisations will give an overview of their work, and the impact that the Nationality and Borders Act 2022 will have in their efforts to fight human trafficking. Attendees will be able to put questions to the panel.

What’s it about?

At a time when organisations (and society in general) are growing in confidence about what modern slavery is, how to spot it and report it, questions have been asked as to how the Nationality and Borders Act will impact on the work that has started. This panel discussion will reflect on the potential impact this Act will have.

Who’s leading the event?

Tim Reid, Exploitation Manager, Sussex Police Specialist Crime Command Unit

Sam Lakesmith, Modern Slavery Victim Care Head of Service, Migrant Help UK
