2 hour webinar led by the University of York and leaders in their fields to discuss the research culture for minoritised academics, followed by a Q&A.
The term minoritised refers to underrepresented social groups whether based on gender, race/ethnicity, sexual orientation, disabiity status, nationality, etc. This online webinar, which is free and open to the general public, features research led by Dr Nadia Jessop from the University of York Department of Education on minoritised academics’ experiences of inclusion and exclusion in academia and how that relates to their mental health and research productivity. There will also be a discussion among leaders in the field about what insights this research reveals about how universities’ research culture can be improved for academics from minoritised social groups and why that is important. Come share your thoughts on the issue during the Q&A session with the speakers!
