and explore how the outdoors impacts our wellbeing

My local area theme

What’s on offer?

an interactive drop-in event about becoming a citizen scientist and exploring how urban green and blue spaces impact our health and wellbeing. We will have a variety of activities for a range of ages, some of which will be more ‘hands on’ (e.g., adding ideas to the Ideas Tree), some more technology-based (e.g., using Our Outdoors and Map-Me apps).

What’s it about?

Come along to this interactive drop-in session to find out more about what it means to be a citizen scientist, how the outdoors impacts our health and wellbeing, and how you can get involved! We’ll be hosting a variety of activities suitable for all ages for everyone to take part in.

Who’s leading the event?

Ruth Jepson, Professor of Public Health in Social Science, University of Edinburgh

Open to

any interested members of the public of all ages (5+)
