What’s on offer?

The Sheffield Political Economy Research Institute (SPERI) is hosting its annual lecture as part of the ESRC Festival of Social Sciences. They are delighted to welcome South Yorkshire Mayor, Oliver Coppard to deliver this year's lecture.

What’s it about?

Oliver Coppard is the elected Mayor of South Yorkshire. He will be invited to deliver a speech that sets out his vision for the economic development of South Yorkshire. This will address a wide range of issues including employment in the region; skills, education and training; the government's Levelling Up agenda; devolution; inequality and the role of anchor institutions in the region, such as universities.
